Endermologie
Endermologie is a unique, non-invasive way of shaping your body, reducing the appearance of cellulite and improving overall skin fitness. In its original form Endermologie was used to rehabilitate scars, burns and damaged muscular tissue when a surprising side-affect was discovered - the reduction of cellulite and significant inch loss from the body.

How it works
The Keymodule’s small hand-held, motorised treatment head with specially designed independent rollers performs the Endermologie treatment. By gently lifting and rolling the skin the Keymodule stimulates the venous and lymphatic systems thereby eliminating toxins. Fibroblasts are stimulated to increase collagen and elastin production generating a healthier rejuvenated skin tone.

The Keymodule’s small hand-held, motorised treatment head with specially designed independent rollers performs the Endermologie treatment. By gently lifting and rolling the skin the Keymodule stimulates the venous and lymphatic systems thereby eliminating toxins. Fibroblasts are stimulated to increase collagen and elastin production generating a healthier rejuvenated skin tone.Wearing a body stocking, the independent motorised rollers are gently run over the full length of the body and then concentrated on the problem areas. The controlled suction gently lifts and rolls your skin, to deeply massage the affected areas, increasing the cutaneous blood flow by 400 percent (Laser Doppler measurements) and lymphatic flow by 300 percent (Lymphoscintigraphy measurements). Toxins and abnormal fluid retention build up is expelled as connective fibres are stretched and restored.
LPG SystemsLPG Systems designed the Key module for the advanced treatment of connective tissue disorders of the body. The Key module stimulates the health of connective tissue through lifting and rolling techniques. The amount of lifting and type of rolling can be adapted to treat a number of specific conditions.
Endermologie is one treatment protocol of the Key module. Endemologie is a specific treatment for the connective tissue layers of the skin. Results include body reshaping, improving skin fitness and the reduction of cellulite. Endermologie is a non-invasive, relaxing 35 minutes treatment for the whole body, focusing on your client’s target areas.
Endermologie works by improving the health of the connective tissue layers of the skin. The regulated treatment clears lymphatic and vascular congestion allowing improved nutrient supply to all cells. Lumpy fibrosis is broken down and collagen and elastin production is stimulated to give the skin a smooth tight appearance. The effect of Endermologie is cumulative. The more treatments you do, the greater the effects.

Since fat is stored in the connective tissue of the skin, Endermologie will also improve the health of your body’s fat storage system. Target areas of stubborn fat, which are unaffected by diet and exercise, can be treated efficiently. Endermologie treatments often reshape target areas and generate a firmer skin tone. The total effect can also be defined as a reduction in cellulite.
Cellulite – What is it and how is it formed?
Cellulite is caused by factors which influence where and how fat is stored, where and how fluid is retained, and the amount and arrangement of collagen and elastin fibers in the connective tissue layers of the skin. Factors influencing cellulite include genetic predisposition, hormones, hydration, diet, exercise, stress, drugs and medications. When normal fatty tissue is stored, it is held in place by a network of collagen and elastin fibers and is supplied by a network of vascular and lymph vessels. When the system works well, the vascular system takes energy from the fat stores when required, and toxins are flushed away via the lymph. When the waste removal system starts to fail, waste products start to building up the connective tissue becomes saturated with fluid, and often inflamed and swollen. Growing fat cells (adipocytes) destroy the network of collagen and elastin fibers, which then thickens (fibrose) lymphatic vessels. The hardened pockets of fat are cause of the ‘orange peel’ or ‘cottage cheese’ appearance known as cellulite. Cellulite often becomes painful if the pressure within the pockets of fat becomes too high.
Cellulite can be diagnosed and categorized into four steps. The more advanced the condition of cellulite, the greater the effort required to treat it. When treating cellulite, the congested lymph and waste system needs to be cleared, the fibrosis around the hardened pockets of fat needs to be softened or broken down and the weak network of collagen and elastin fibers needs to be strengthened and remodeled. Endermologie will treat cellulite at all these levels. The frequency and amount of Endermologie treatments is relative to a patient’s condition.

Factors Contributing to Cellulite
Genetic predisposition - Your cultural background and gender will determine the structure of your connective tissue network. Caucasian women are more prone to the effects of cellulite.
Hormones - Changing hormones levels can be related to menstruation, pregnancy, menopause, disease or from external influences like drugs and medication. Hormone change will affect your body’s homeostasis at many different levels.
Insufficient Water Intake – Hydration helps the energy levels, concentration, vascular flow, normal cellular activity, also the metabolism of fat, improvement in the clearance of metabolic waste, temperature regulation and breathing. A healthy amount of water consumption ranges between 2 to 4 litres per day, depending on climate, body weight and exercise.
Diet – Poorly balanced diet contribute to the formation of cellulite. A lack of vitamins and minerals will make it harder for the body to perform the chemical processes necessary to metabolize fat. Over eating fatty foods, proteins and carbohydrates will influence how much waste your body needs to process and how much we eat it will be stored.
Lack Of Exercise – or a sedentary lifestyle, will contribute to the formation of cellulite. Since the lymphatic system relies on musculoskeletal movement and gravity to operate efficiently, if we do not exercise, the lymph becomes stagnant and cellular waste and toxins build up.
Tension and Stress – Over an extended period can cause muscle and connective tissue to tighten and shrink. The greater the tension, the poorer the nutrient supply and the less efficient the elimination of waste become.
Smoking – Vascular disease caused by smoking will directly influence cellulite, due to slowing down the blood circulation.
Drugs and Medication – will disturb the body’s natural functioning. Combining drugs often multiplies the adverse effect of a single drug alone.
Tips for Healthy Living
The following guidelines with regular Endermologie treatments shall improve the results.
Diet – A healthy eating plan will improve your wellbeing. A balanced diet should not depart from the basic principles of the food principles.
Water – Hydration helps the energy levels, concentration, vascular flow, normal cellular activity, metabolism of fat, improved clearance of metabolic waste, temperature regulation and breathing. 2-4 litres of water is recommended each day depending on climate, body weight and exercise.
Detox – Eliminating your body’s waste products will improve your wellbeing. The primary organs of excretion are the lungs, kidneys and skin. Each organ uses a large amount of water to help excrete waste products effectively. The more available water is to the body, the more efficient the excretion process becomes.
Digestion – The risk of constipation can be minimized, by eating foods high in fibre, drinking water and exercising regular. Relaxation will also help all types of digestive problems.
Relaxation – Controlling stress will improve your wellbeing. The state of mind will significantly influence the state of your body. Endermologie, deep breathing and exercising are great forms of relaxation.
Breathing – Deep breathing exercises helps reduce blood pressure and improve relaxation. They also help respiratory infection, facilitate oxygenation of the blood and assist the excretion of carbon dioxide waste.
Exercise – The intensity and type of exercise will determine the nature of the benefits gained. Relaxation, increased metabolism of fat, increased muscle tone and increased cardiovascular endurance, are examples of the benefits of exercise. All types of exercise will stimulate deep circulatory and lymphatic flow, which will help clear waste and improve the supply of nutrients to cells.
